Dry & Mild Next Several Days -Bill Graul
Seasonably Cool Temps Tonight
WHAT WE’RE TRACKING:
To be honest… not much except milder temperatures for the region. In fact, many of the next 8 days we will see highs in the 60s! As for rain chances, slim to none until late next week. Not great news as even with the soaking rainfall this past Sunday/Monday, drought conditions remain the same across the area. Check out the latest drought monitor below, which is released every Thursday.
PLANNING YOUR NEXT 24 HOURS:
Cloudy periods tonight, but the air is quite dry near the surface. You might see some returns on the radar and think rain is moving in, but the dry air is causing it to evaporate before reaching the ground. We call this “virga”. Expect seasonably cool lows tonight in the 32-39F range. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies Friday with slightly warmer highs in the 57-62F range across the region.
Dry this weekend with mostly sunny skies Saturday, then a mix of clouds and sun Sunday. Mild temps continue with highs in the low 60s for most. Halloween Monday continues to look dry and mild with highs in the low 60s. Even warmer Tuesday through Thursday with highs well into the 60s and a bit breezy for the second half of the week. A system is trending slower, so I’ve pushed any rain chances back to late Thursday night or Friday.
Have a great Thursday night! -Meteorologist Bill Graul
