Nearly 230 Wisconsin law enforcement agencies participate in Drug Take Back Day
Nearly 230 local law enforcement agencies will be participating in the Drug Take Back that takes place today across Wisconsin
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – The state’s top law enforcement official is serious about curbing the opioid epidemic. Attorney General Josh Kaul announced that nearly 230 local law enforcement agencies would participate in Drug Take Back Day across Wisconsin Saturday.
Wisconsinites were encouraged to dispose of unwanted and unused medications at drug take back and disposal locations.
Drug Take Back Day provides a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unwanted medications, while also educating the community about the potential abuse and consequences of improper storage and disposal of potentially harmful medications.
The disposal sites are meant for households, not businesses, and they are asking people to bring prescription and over-the-counter medications and not illegal drugs.
