Drug Take Back Day to provide opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted medications

Events are being held throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa

UNDATED (WKBT) – A Drug Take Back Day will help community members get rid of wanted medications.

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, 9.7 million people misused prescription pain relievers in 2019.

There are plenty of opportunities to drop off your unwanted medications this Saturday.

In La Crosse, the collection starts at 8 a.m. in the county Health and Human Services build parking lot.

In Monroe County, the drop-off also starts at eight at the County’s Solid Waste Management facility.

And in Trempealeau County, the collection starts at 8:30 a.m. at at the ‘Hometown Pharmacy’ in Galesville.
