Drug Take-Back Day to provide chance for safe disposal of prescription medication
Drop off locations are available throughout the region
MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) – A drug take back day will give people across Wisconsin the chance to safely get rid of medications
Saturday is ‘Prescription Drug Take-Back Day’ in Wisconsin.
People around the state will be able to drop off expired or unused medications.
The event is a way to safely dispose of prescriptions so they don’t end up in Wisconsin’s water or landfills.
It can also help protect people across the state.
“A lot of folks who become addicted to opioids first begin using them as they get them from a family member. So by clearing out our medicine cabinet and safely disposing of those drugs you can help us work to fight the opioid epidemic,” said Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul.
A list of drop-off locations and hours is available on doseofrealityWI.gov.
