Drug dog alerts to drugs; 2 arrested with $60,000 in narcotics in Osseo
OSSEO, Wis. — A drug-sniffing canine named Luke who checked a vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 94 near Osseo alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to a bust for drugs with an estimated street value of $60,000.
The incident, at about 12:25 p.m. on June 24, also prompted the arrests two Chicago men — driver Jessie Brown and passenger Toraus Eason, both 40.
A Trempealeau County sheriff’s deputy noticed the traffic violation and stopped the vehicle. After Luke alerted to the presence of the drugs, a search of the vehicle turned up 388 grams of heroin and 88 grams of crack cocaine.
Assisting in the arrests were the West Central Metropolitan Enforcement Group, the Osseo Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The investigation of the incident continues.
