Driver suffers life-threatening injuries in Sparta ATV crash
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) – A driver of an ATV suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Sparta Sunday afternoon.
According to a news release from the Sparta Police Department, officers were dispatched at 4:30 p.m. for a reported ATV accident on 1200 River Rd.
Authorities say the driver had been thrown from the ATV.
GundersenAIR flew the driver to La Crosse’s Gundersen hospital for life-threatening injuries.
Alcohol does appear to be a factor, according to the release.
The incident is being investigated by the Sparta Police Department and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
