Driver extricated from vehicle after rolling over into creek in Ettrick
ETTRICK, Wis. (WKBT) — A 16-year-old driver had to be extricated from his vehicle after he lost control, hit a bridge and rolled over into a creek at about 12:30 p.m. Monday in Ettrick, according to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver, whose name is not being released at this time, was northbound on Rogness Coulee Road near Emery Lane when he lost control, over-corrected and crossed the road into the opposite ditch, where he struck the bridge and rolled into the creek, deputies said.
He was pinned in the vehicle until rescuers released him. A Mayo One helicopter flew him to Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.
The extent of his injuries and his condition were unavailable.
Responding to the crash besides Trempealeau deputies and Mayo One were the Ettrick Fire Department and First Responders, Galesville Fire Department and First Responders and Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance.
