Drive-thru graduation planned for Winona Senior High School students
This is the 150th graduation for Winona Area Public Schools
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) – A special graduation ceremony is coming for students at a local high school.
On Friday, Winona Senior High School is planning a drive through commencement ceremony.
The ceremony will kick off with a car parade of students, lead by Winona Police and Fire Departments.
Like others schools in our area, Winona ended in person classes back in March.
Students still wanted to find a way to celebrate the milestone.
“They have some uniqueness with and hopefully they are able to able to celebrate this big accomplishment in their life. And know that they have the resilience as they move forward, because they have faced a lot of things,” said Winona Area Public Schools Superintendent Annette Freiheit.
