Drier, Breezy & Cooler Tonight -Bill Graul
Temps Below Average This Week
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 45F / Tuesday’s Forecast High: 60F…
Some much needed rainfall with the showers and storms later Sunday into Monday morning. In fact, some spots picked up 1″ to 3″ of rain. Unfortunately some of the storms went severe Sunday evening, producing large hail in spots.
Lingering showers are exiting to the east this evening, with mostly to partly cloudy skies expected overnight. It will be cooler tonight with lows in the 40-45F range for most. It will also be rather breezy, especially this evening, with NW winds 10-20 mph and gusts to 30 mph possible… especially west of the Miss. River.
Dry with decreasing clouds Tuesday. Still a bit breezy with NW winds 10-20 mph, perhaps some gusts around 25 mph in some areas. Temps will be cooler than average, with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Clear skies and lighter winds Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, means chilly lows in the mid-upper 30s. Perhaps even some frost possible in traditional colder areas north and east.
Looking Ahead… You’ll need to get used to below average temps, as it looks like that trend will continue through the week and even into the start of next week. Wednesday will be dry, before a disturbance brings a chance of light rain showers Wednesday night into Thursday, especially Thursday morning. Highs Wednesday and Thursday will be around 60F. Partly sunny Friday with highs in the low-mid 60s.
Chance of showers later Saturday and into Mother’s Day Sunday. Temps will remain below average over the weekend, with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Isolated showers possible next Monday with highs in the upper 50s. Tuesday looks dry at this point, with slightly warmer highs in the low-mid 60s.
Have a good Monday night and a great week ahead! -Bill Graul
