Doyle: Biggest Unfinished Project, Transportation Fund
State Rep. Steve Doyle says transportation budget must be addressed in 2015
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The issue on Wisconsin roadway funding remains as the largest project left unfinished according to State Representative Steve Doyle.
In early November, a vote was passed discontinuing outside borrowing from Wisconsin’s transportation budget.
Doyle says to make a significant change in the transportation fund, Governor Scott Walker needs to take the first step.
“Transportation, we need to do something about it in Wisconsin and it’s best done I think by the two parties making some tough decisions and I think that this is really one where we’re going to wait on the democratic side and see where the governor proposes and I hope we can get behind him,” said Doyle.
Governor Walker’s proposed budget is expected sometime in February.
