Donations out pace previous year for Winona’s ’10 Days of Giving’

More than 86,000 pounds of food have been collected for an area food shelf in just five days of an annual donation drive.

The 31st annual ’10 Days of Giving’ started earlier this week in Winona.

The donations will benefit the food shelf at Winona Volunteer Services.

While donations are up by more than 4,000 pounds as compared to this point last year, they still have ways to go to meet donation totals.

Last year 250,000 pounds of food was collected during the drive.

You can donate at Merchants Bank locations in Winona, as well as schools, businesses and churches in the city.

The drive runs through Tuesday.
