Donation to benefit Wanek Center construction in Arcadia
ARCADIA, Wis. (WKBT) — A 100-thousand dollar donation will help make a community center a reality in Arcadia.
Pilgrim’s Pride presented the Arcadia Education Foundation with a check Thursday, supporting the Wanek Center.
The Center, which broke ground in October will include educational, athletic and public library spaces.
District officials are excited to have the support of the community.
“It’s not just a business that is here for pure profit, but giving back part of that profit to the schools and the community to make it a better place to live for their employees, and everybody that lives in the community,” said School District of Arcadia Superintendent Lance Bagstad.
Construction of the 71 and a half thousand square foot facility is expected to wrap up this fall.
