Donation drive in La Crosse through provide ways to help other, dispose of items properly

Drive will be at Western Technical College's Lot C

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – You have the chance to clean out some unwanted items and help the community all at the same time.

Three drive-thru collection events will be happening on Western Technical College’s campus in La Crosse.

As in past years, students will collect new or gently used professional clothing.

Clothing of a variety of styles and sizes will be accepted.

A distribution of the clothing for students is March 26th.

The items will be distributed to students who may not have access to clothing for job interviews or other professional occasions later this month.

You have the chance to get rid of your you electronics in a responsible way.

Staff from Western’s student run help desk are hosting ‘e-waste’ recycling event.

The event will accept computer equipment like modems, cable boxes, speakers, mice, PCs, networking equipment.

Mobile devices, keyboards, gaming systems, LCD monitors, laptops, and printers will also be accepted.

And Western’s Cavalier Cupboard will be accepting donations for their food pantry.

Non-perishable items like peanut butter and pasta as well as diapers will be accepted.

Donations or recyclables should be transported in a vehicle trunk, pickup bed, or trailer to reduce face-to-face contact.

Everything starts Friday at 8 a.m in Western’s Lot C by the entrance of the Student Success Center.

The drive continues until 5 p.m.
