Donation drive helps Habitat ReStore in La Crosse
If you'd still like to help out, you can donate money online.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Habitat for Humanity in La Crosse held their first donation drive of the year Saturday.
There, people dropped off used furniture and household items with a few extra perks.
There was a cookout, door prizes and even goodie bags for some who participated.
This year, the ReStore partnered with Thrivent Financial, who donated $50 to the ReStore for every car that came through.
“The product that gets donated gets put on the sales floor, and once it’s donated all the profits from it go back into the mission and help build and repair homes in our community,” said Melanie Straate with Habitat for Humanity La Crosse Area.
If you’d still like to help out, you can donate money online.
Thrivent Financial plans to make a $2 donation for every $1 donated through next Friday.
If you’d like to help out, you can learn more on Habitat for Humanity La Crosse Area’s website.
