Disinfectants top city’s list of needed donations
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Disinfectants top the list of items the city of La Crosse can use, in response to inquiries about what community members can donate and help in other ways during the COVID-19 crisis.
“First and foremost, you can help our community by doing what you can to stay healthy and following the precautions put forth by our public health professions,” said Dan Trussoni, the city’s logistics section manager.
“As for donations, we are accepting items that are intended to keep our staff and public safe,” Trussoni said, such as:
- Disinfectant spray, disinfectant wipes, sanitizer, sanitizer dispensers, individual sanitizer bottles, spray bottles and nozzles, as well as cleaning towels.
- Any latex/nitrile gloves.
- N95 masks.
- Rain ponchos, Tyvek suits, etc.
- Any donations related to personal protective equipment.
The donation drop-off spot is the front entrance of the Municipal Service Center at 2000 Marco Drive on Isle La Plume. Put items from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, and staffers will move the donations to a secure area.
