Dirty filters can lead problems with air conditioning units

Air conditioning may be likely in La Crosse area as temperatures reach into 90s.

UNDATED (WKBT) – The heat means you’ll likely crank up the air conditioning this weekend.

If this is the first time you are turning it on for the season, you could run into some trouble.

“A lot of our calls right away come from dirty filters. Lack of air flow across that coil freezes it up. Doesn’t cool your house. It’s one really easy, simple thing somebody can check to avoid a service call,” said Bagniefski HVAC installer Adam Miller.

If you start your air conditioning before the heat of the day, it won’t have to work as hard to cool your home.
