Diggity Dog Dip offers a dip in the pool for area dogs

Money raised goes to La Crescent Animal Rescue, Onalaska Park and Recreation department

It was a great day for a dip in the pool, especially if you’re a dog.

The 9th annual Diggity Dog Dip brought more than 350 dogs and nearly 1,000 people out to the Onalaska Aquatic Center on Saturday.

Dogs of all sizes were able to run around and swim off their leashes, and even have some special ice cream treats just for them. And while this event may benefit some great local groups, it’s really all about the dogs.

“The coolest part is just seeing how much fun, and how these guys are just so excited to enjoy themselves for just this one day of the year,” said Diggity Dog Daycare Owner Pat Kucera.

Money raised at the event go towards the La Crescent Animal Rescue and the Onalaska Park and Recreation department.
