DHS: One new death, 61 new COVID-19 cases in La Crosse County
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported Wednesday that an additional La Crosse County resident has died of COVID-19, bringing the total to 68.
There were no details available on the death.
New La Crosse County cases include:
- Three people under age 9;
- Eleven people aged 10-19;
- Eleven people in their 20s;
- Nine people in their 30s;
- Nine people in their 40s;
- Six people in their 50s;
- Six people in their 60s;
- Four people in their 70s; and,
- One person in their 80s.
DHS also reported 61 new cases of the coronavirus in La Crosse County and 125 negative tests. The total number of test-confirmed cases is 11,163.
Statewide, 50 Wisconsinites died of COVID-19 since Tuesday’s report. A total of 5,562 people in Wisconsin have died of the coronavirus.
An additional 1,255 people tested positive for the virus, bringing the total number of cases to 525,924.
As of the Tuesday’s report, 248,185 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the state. Preliminary data shows 10, 392 doses were administered Tuesday. Of those, preliminary data shows that 441 doses were administered in La Crosse County.
Just over 45,000 Wisconsinites have completed the COVID-19 vaccination series, as of Tuesday.
