DHS: La Crosse County reports 87 new COVID-19 cases
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — La Crosse County had 87 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday out of 342 tests reported to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Of the new cases, the majority are those aged 10-29. Twenty-six cases were among those 10-19 and 36 were among those 20-29. There were seven cases among people 30-39 and seven cases among those 40-49. There were three people aged 50-59 who tested positive, four people aged 60-69 and one person in their 70s. There were two cases among people in their 80s.
Over the past week 82.8% of new cases have been among those 10-29. In total, 73.7% of cases have been among that age group.
The county has a total of 2,785 coronavirus cases.
Wisconsin reported 8 new deaths Wednesday and 1,762 new positive tests out of 13,453 total tests administered.
The total number of positive tests in Wisconsin reached 105,932 Wednesday.
