Detroit Lakes man arrested for 6th OWI near Osseo

OSSEO, Wis. (WKBT) – Police arrested a Detroit Lakes man for his sixth OWI on Saturday morning. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper and Osseo Police Department investigated a driving complaint involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 94.

Police found the vehicle near Osseo. The driver, 66-year-old Kim J Dail, showed signs of impairment. Officials say a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, indicated that Dail drove while under the influence of an intoxicant.

Police arrested Dail and he was taken to a local hospital where a search warrant was obtained for an evidentiary chemical test
of his blood. Dail was turned over to the Eau Claire County Jail.
