Dashcam catches intense Arkansas shootout

A traffic stop in Arkansas turned into a terrifying shootout that lasted nearly a minute, and the whole thing was caught on dashcam.

A Washington County deputy pulled over 29-year-old Luis Cobos-Cenobio, who opened fire once the deputy got out of his patrol vehicle. He even got out of the car and approached the deputy and his vehicle, all while firing.

Cobos-Cenobio ran back to his car and took off, but dashcam shows him stop a short distance away to let out a female passenger.

She surrendered to the deputy and was taken into custody, but was not charged with any crimes, according to ABC News.

Cobos-Cenobio led authorities from several jurisdictions on a chase while intermittently firing at them.

Eventually, he pulled over and surrendered.

He faces eight charges, including attempted capital murder.

The Arkansas Democrat Gazette reported that Cobos-Cenobio is being held on $500,000 bond.

The incident happened in Springdale, north of Fayetteville in the northwestern part of Arkansas.
