Cut the yard work! La Crosse allows residents to skip lawn mowing in May

Homeowners must registered for the program

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The weather hasn’t been great for lawn work, but even when it improves, the city of La Crosse wants you to hold off on mowing.

Thursday night, the Common Council approved resolution designating May as “No Mow May.”

The city believes the program will help pollinator plants grow and help the environment.

Homeowners must registered for the program.

The city will release more details on Monday.
