Crucifixion School students sing carols to local businesses

Little carolers were making their rounds to bring holiday cheer to an area town. As the Crucifixion School kids will tell you, their tradition spreads Christmas through singing a tune.

Kids at Crucifixion School in La Crescent were caroling at local businesses and restaurants Thursday afternoon.

Some of their stops included Merchants Bank, the La Crescent Public Library, and Corky’s Pizza.

The annual field trip is a great way for students to get out of the classroom and into the community. But students say their favorite part is seeing the smiles they bring to people.

6th Grader, Leah Dunnum said,”Just seeing the people’s reaction, how happy they are to see us, and I just like singing. It’s fun.”

When the students returned to school after caroling they got hot chocolate and warm cookies.
