Crawford County cautions salon customers from certain days
PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. (WKBT) — The Crawford County Public Health Department issued a caution to people who were at A Cut Above Hair Salon in Prairie du Chien during certain periods on July 29 and 31 and Aug. 31 may have been exposed to a COVID-19 positive case.
The times involved are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 29, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 31 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 1.
Anyone who was in the salon during those periods are asked to call the health department at 608-326-0229 to discuss measures they might need to take. Also, people who were in the business and develop symptoms through Aug. 15 should call their health care providers.
Symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, chills, headache, muscle aches, fatigue, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea and loss of smell and/or taste.
“This notice is not saying that this business did anything wrong, but is to inform the public of where and when the public may have had potential contact with a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19,” said health director Cindy Riniker.
“We are working closely with A Cut Above to assure the safety and wellness of all their staff and customers,” Riniker said.
