COVID-19 testing held in La Crosse

Testing site held at Logan High School

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The latest COVID-19 testing site in our area is helping people from our area know if they have the virus.

The site was held at Logan High School in La Crosse. As many as 450 tests will be conducted of community members 5 years of age and older that have symptoms.

While the test is potentially different than the one you get at other testing sites testing isn’t supposed to hurt.

“There is not much of a difference for that. Some people are going to find that it’s a little bit uncomfortable for them. But it shouldn’t be painful or really excruciatingly painful,” said La Crosse County Registered sanitarian Nicole Kragness.

No additional sites are currently planned in La Crosse County but they could still happen.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has a list of community COVID-19 testing sites on their website.

Testing is still available at health care systems in our area.
