COVID-19 testing at Mayo Clinic Health System in Wisconsin reaches near record levels

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – COVID-19 testing at Mayo Clinic sites in Southwest Wisconsin has reached its highest level in more than a year.
During the first week of the year, demand for testing rose 23 percent, making it It the second busiest week since testing in the region began.
On January 3rd alone, more than six hundred patients were seen for testing at Mayo in La Crosse.
That’s double the normal capacity for the testing site.
