County board tours transformed former administrative center building
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The former La Crosse County Administrative Center has been stripped down to its bare bones and is being built, nearly, from the ground up.
On Thursday, members of the La Crosse County Board of Supervisors took a tour of the soon to be ‘Hub on 6th.’ The building will house apartment, condo and retail units.
Developers took the three story-high building and added on two additional levels. The move will create a more than $16 million tax base.
Crews are about half-way done with the project. The apartment building is expected to open by September.
