Counties around La Crosse prepare to celebrate National Night Out
VIROQUA, Wis. (WKBT)- Emergency Responders of Vernon County is having their 2nd annual Vernon County National Night Out.
The event is an opportunity for families to meet members from local law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS agencies. The event takes place on Tuesday, August 3rd, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Vernon County Fairgrounds.
Admission to the event, the activities, and the food are all free. There will be vehicle displays, a live mock crash, and 40 booths set up from different businesses that have games and activities.
“2020 happened and obviously COVID happened and we ended up not doing anything in 2020. This year we want to come back bigger and better and we have a lot of good things planned,” said Vernon County Deputy, William Zirk.
National Night Out isn’t just happening in Vernon County, Onalaska, La Crosse, Buffalo County, and La Crescent are also hosting National Night Out events.
