Couleecap and Coulee Region Immigration Task Force Partner for Clothing Drive
The purpose of the drive is to help meet the basic needs of families greatly impacted by COVID-19
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) — Couleecap and the Coulee Region Immigration Task Force are partnering together to hold a clothing drive through the La Crosse greater area.
Today La Crosse held day one of their clothing drive at the First Congregational United Church.
The purpose of the drive is to help meet the basic needs of families greatly impacted by COVID-19.
Hetti Brown, the Executive Director of Couleecap said, “Well there are many families out there that are benefiting right now from some of the state and federal unemployment benefits that have come down the pike. But there are many, many families that do not have access to those resources. And many immigrant families don’t have access to those resources.”
Organizers ask that all the items donated to be new or gently used.
After a successful day of receiving donations, the organization is asking that now people only donate clothing and shoes for children and teens.
Tomorrow is the last day to donate.
