Coulee Region Professional Women announce scholarship winners

Twelve local women are receiving a helping hand for their education.

The Coulee Region Professional Women (CRPW) announced the winners of their annual scholarship program. The winners will be honored at the banquet on Tuesday, April 24th.

CRPW gives out scholarships annually to La Crosse area women of all ages, interests, and backgrounds.

President Shelli Kult says, “Coulee Region Professional Women means something a little different to each of our members, but our devotion to awarding scholarships to deserving local women is the most powerful of our yearly fundraising activities. We proudly support each other in pursuing professional achievements; we’re all stronger when we help others by bringing them up through realizing their educational goals.”

The 2018 scholarship winners are:

Sierra Schwier – West Salem
Maria Martell – Central
Nina Kudimova – Logan
Rebecca Schipper – Viroqua
Amber Callaway – Holmen
Amber Wuensch
Catherine Tschumper – WTC
Jill Grennan – UW Oshkosh

The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the women at 5:30 p.m. at the Blue Moon Restaurant in Onalaska.

The funds are raised in part by the Holler for Scholar night, as well as from area sponsors City Auto Sales, Edward Jones Investments-Jennifer Atkins, Maplewood Dental, Associated Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, LHI, and US Cellular.
