Coulee Region CROP Walk raises money to feed people locally, across the world
5K in Onalaska area for more than 20 years
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — A decades old walk in Onalaska is helping bring food to those in need.
The Onalaska United Methodist Church hosted the annual 5K ‘Coulee Region CROP Walk’ Sunday afternoon.
A quarter of the money raised through the event goes towards the Hunger Task Force, the Onalaska-Holmen Food Basket, and the WAFER Food Pantry. Another chunk of the money raised helps provide food to those in need across the world.
“In our congregation, I know other congregations do this too, it’s nice not just to get together and know we’re making a difference, but to get together and have some fun doing it, to get together and meet some new people,” said Onalaska Methodist Church Pastor Park Hunter.
The ‘Coulee Region CROP Walk’ has been in our area for more than 20 years.
