“Cops Gone Wild” for Special Olympics

Police and Sheriff's officials come together to raise money for special olympians

Local police and sheriff’s departments came together tonight at Buffalo Wild Wings in Onalaska Wednesday night.

They were raising money with their annual “Cops Gone Wild” event.
All the money raised tonight helps the Special Olympics Wisconsin.

Local officers, Sheriff’s and athletes took part in a wing eating contest.

Officers from the Onalaska Police Department and other area Law Enforcement agencies greeted customers and assisted the wait staff.

Investigator Pete Jakowski of the Onalaska Police Department says, “Over the years, we’ve raised thousands of dollars to help defray the cost of athlete participation in Special Olympic events.”

Ten percent of all sales  along with any tips earned by officers were donated to special Olympics.
