Cookie Palooza prepares Girl Scouts for selling cookies

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Young entrepreneurs are preparing for a busy season.

On Sunday nearly 200 area Girl Scouts were at the La Crosse center kicking-off the Cookie Program.

Cookie Palooza teaches Girl Scouts the cookie basics.

They learn selling safety, money management, goal-setting, and customer service.

One scout leader says these experiences help them for years to come.

“They learn things like building their self-confidence or learning how to count change back. Those skills that they need to get them in through life and hopefully get them excited and thinking about being entrepreneurs when they grow up,” said Tabitha Bone, Leadership Development Specialist for the Badgerland Girl Scouts.

The Badgerland Girl Scouts will begin selling cookies on February 15th.
