Construction is officially complete on the La Crosse Center’s new entrance area
Arena representatives and city leaders held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday to celebrate the reopening of the new entrance area
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The La Crosse Center renovation project is reaching another milestone.
The arena held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the reopening of the arena’s new entrance area and north exhibition hall.
The center was closed for almost a year before hosting the WIAA girls and boys state basketball tournaments, and fans got a glimpse of what the new and improved arena looked like.
Arena leaders say these new changes have been in the works for a while.
“It’s been a long journey,” La Crosse Center director Art Fahey said. “It’s been I’m guessing 6+ years when the question came out: What do you want the venue to look like in the next 2-3 decades? And a lot of people played a major role in making this happen.”
The entire project costs $42 million.
It is expected to be finished in November of this year.
