“Conductor Wannabes” raise $54,000 for the La Crosse Community
Winners announced for conductor competition
LA CROSSE, Wisc. (WKBT) — The La Crosse Symphony Orchestra Announces the WINNERS of the Conductor Wannabe Competition.
The Conductor Wannabe Competition is one of the symphony’s annual fundraisers where each candidate chooses a non-profit organization that will receive half of the money they raise during the campaign.
The candidates solicit votes for two dollars with one dollar going to the Orchestra and the other to the candidate’s charity.

Jeremiah Galvan with Gundersen Health System’s Global Partner’s program
Andy and Peter Hughes with the Mental Wellness Initiative at the Boys and Girls Club
Brad Quarberg with La Crosse Education Foundation Music Programs
Miranda TerBeest with Big Brothers Big Sisters
The La Crosse Symphony Orchestra’s final concert is this Saturday, June at 8 at 7 pm, where 1st place winner Maureen Freedland with La Crosse Jail Ministry and 2nd place winner Brad Quarberg with the La Crosse Education Foundation Music Programs will both conduct a song.
