Below is a list of closings that community members submitted to News 8 Now. Please call ahead to confirm that your event has been canceled or rescheduled. If you have an event to cancel or postpone, please email the details to firstname.lastname@example.org.

All Abilities Park Golf Scramble 2020: The event scheduled for August is postponed TFN. It is our feeling that because of the economic climate that could put an undue hardship for our past participants, businesses and sponsors to participate. So with this in mind this year’s event is postponed. Our committee will revisit this issue in January 2021 to see if we move forward to have the event in 2021.
American Cancer Society Sole Burner of Chaseburg: Chicken Que on Sunday, April 19, 2020, Kickoff Pancake breakfast on Saturday, May 2, 2020, and Mariah’s 40th Celebration on Saturday, June 6, 2020, is canceled.
Applefest in La Crescent: The event is canceled and organizers are looking to create other potential events.
Art Fair on the Green: Because of the uncertainty of gathering in large crowds due to Covid-19, AAUW Art Fair on the Green will be canceled for 2020. This is for the safety of our artists, patrons, vendors, volunteers, and committee. Art Fair on the Green will be featuring our artists on our Facebook page and website (www.aauwlacrosse.org) as a virtual way to showcase their talents. Please watch for more information on that.
Artspire: The event originally scheduled for June 13 has been postponed. The new date is TBD.
Ashley for the Arts Festival: Canceled
Barre Bowling Blast: Event scheduled for April 4 canceled; Barre Shuffle 5k May 23 postponed until fall/TBD; Fore Alarm Scramble on Sept. 12 still on.
Big Blue Dragon Boat Festival: Canceled
Bowl for Kids’ Sake: Big Brother Big Sisters’ annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake is canceled due to COVID-10 concerns. The agency is putting on a month-long virtual event called Big Night In throughout the month of July. Similar to Bowl for Kids’ Sake, participants form a team of 4-6 people and when they reach their fundraising goal at any point in July, the team will receive a bag of goodies and get to choose a creative way to celebrate with their team. Creative “night in” activities include virtual bowling with BBBS, a dinner party with their team, and many more. More information can be found here.
Campbell Town Hall: Closed to the public except for absentee voting. It is our intention to maintain all essential town functions with our employees continuing to work in their normal capacity while working remotely and/or within the facilities closed to the public. Our goal by taking these additional, extraordinary measures is to minimize the change in the level of essential services provided to the community. Cashton’s Live On Main Street Music Festival: Canceled – After much thought and contemplation regarding the COVID -19 pandemic, the organizers of Cashton’s Live On Main Street Music Festival have made the very difficult decision to cancel the music festival that was scheduled for June 26 & 27. Above all, the primary concern is the health, safety, well-being of the community, attendees, volunteers, performing acts, sponsors and vendors. All of the entertainers and vendors have agreed to perform at our 2021 festival that is scheduled for June 18 & 19. We greatly appreciate the community’s support of our event and we look forward to hosting the event next year.
Casino Queen Marquette: Will temporarily close as of Noon today, March 17 for precautionary reasons. The closure could be for up to 30 days. There have been no cases of COVID-19 at the facility.
CMN Hospitals Emerald Gala event – Rescheduled from April 3 to July 24. People can keep track of changes at the Gundersen Health System website.
Coulee Region Gaming Guild: 24-Hour Gaming Event rescheduled to November 7. Call 608-775-6613 with questions.
Coulee Region Humane Society: Closing doors to public beginning Wednesday, March 18. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only. Dog training will continue with a maximum of 9 people per class. More details here: Coulee Region Human Society Statement
Country USA/Rock USA: Canceled: Organizers said that with so many future uncertainties arising from the Covid-19 epidemic, “our focus must be the health and safety of our artists, volunteers, attendees, community and the future well-being of our festival. “

Diocese of La Crosse: All public Masses in the Diocese of La Crosse are canceled beginning March 20. Live and prerecorded Sunday Mass is available via diolc.org.
Downtown Mainstreet Activities: Spring Fling, Restaurant Week and Downtown Walk Around canceled
Driftless Area Art Festival: Canceled
Driftless Music Festival 2020: The event scheduled for Saturday, July 11 is canceled. Event organizers concluded that, because of the unpredictability of the course of the Coronavirus epidemic, and of the uncertainty of being able to return to some form of “normalcy,” in the foreseeable future—especially in the case of large public gatherings—there is too much risk to proceed with the event.“Our primary concern is the safety, health and well-being of our attendees, volunteers, performers and vendors. EAA AirVenture 2020 in Oshkosh: Canceled
English Lutheran Church: Services and Community Conversations event are canceled.
Faith Lutheran Church of Black Hammer in Spring Grove: All worship services and meals postponed until further notice.
Faith United Methodist Church: Suspending worship services/activities at least through Sunday, April 5. Updates can be found on the church’s Facebook page. Sunday sermons will be on the YouTube channel.
Firehouse 5K Onalaska Fire Department: The event is rescheduled for October 11, 2020, at 8 a.m.
First Free Church: Regular weekend services canceled for March 14-15 & 21-22. Livestream available Sundays at 10:30 a.m. All other programs/events canceled through March 27. First Free offices will remain open Monday – Friday during normal business hours & will continue to serve the community through the Food Pantry on Tuesdays, by appointment.
Fools Five Auction & Road Race: The Race is canceled for 2020. The Auction Night is TBD. More information available here.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of La Crosse: Is ceasing all face-to-face services and meetings until further notice.
Great MN Music Series Concert: Concert postponed with a double bill of Corey Median and Erik Koskinen
Habitat for Humanity – Winona Dinner Rescheduled: SAVE THE DATE! Habitat for Humanity’s House-raising Hootenanny has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 15th.
This evening will be like no Habitat dinner that has come before it! With seriously fun live music, catered dinner from Southern Smoke and Chrome, and a powerhouse live and silent auction, it is an event you won’t want to miss. Cowboy boots and blue jeans will be encouraged. Funds raised that evening will be put to work building a safe, affordable home for a hardworking local family that dreams of stability for their children. This event will be held at the Minnesota Equestrian Center in Winona. Tickets will be $55 each or $440 for a table of 8. La Crosse Symphony Orchestra: rescheduling the May 2 Simply Sinatra concert to Sunday, September 20 at 2 p.m. at the Viterbo Fine Arts Center. If people have tickets, they are good! Your seats are the same. We will all be ready to come together and enjoy beautiful music by then! The symphony would like to thank Viterbo for making it a priority to getting our concert rescheduled.
As for the June 6th concert, that is currently still scheduled, but will be rescheduled if cancelation is necessary.
Living Hope Lutheran Church: Come for Supper in Ettrick canceled.
Living Word Christian Church: Church services will be live-streamed only on Sundays at 8:30 am and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm on our church website (www.lwcclax.com) and Facebook LIVE. canceled all of its activities but will live streaming church services on Sundays at 8:30 am and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm at www.lwcclax.com.

Minnesota Beethoven Festival 2020: Canceled – The Minnesota Beethoven Festival has been working diligently to monitor the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and to ensure the health and safety of patrons, artists, and staff. After careful consideration, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel our 2020 season. Planning for the 2021 season is already complete and the artist roster will be announced in the fall.
Monroe County Fair: Canceled
MTU: Closing lobby at Grand River Station. The operation will remain on a normal schedule. Buses will continue to use the outdoor platform as the main transfer point.
Old Main Historical & Community Arts Center: All events have been postponed until further notice (Including Irish Holiday, Celebrate the 20s, Gale Star, etc.)
Organic Valley CROPP COOP: Retail Store at the Cashton Office Building is closed; La Farge Retail Store closed to foot traffic, phone and email orders are accepted and filled at the La Farge Retail Store only for employees, members, and community members.
Riverfest La Crosse/Kwik Trip Fireworks Extravaganza: Canceled

St. John’s in Caledonia, MN: Church service canceled until further notice
St. Martin’s Lutheran Church Winona: Suspended public worship services. They will be offering the 8:00 am services via the radio (101.5 FM and 1380 AM). And also video services are available at website (https://vimeo.com/stmartinswinona).
The Charmant Hotel: No in-person dining; in-room dining permitted for hotel guests. Take out and curbside delivery options beginning Thursday, March 19, by calling 608.519.8830 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Waterfront Restaurant and Tavern: No in-house dining; takeout and curbside delivery options available by calling 608.782.5400 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. March 17-21. Closed Sunday, March 22, and will review hours and offerings during the week of March 23.

Touch-A-Truck/Open House Event: The La Crosse Public Works Week events scheduled for May 20 are canceled. Town of Holland: Well Water Testing Event scheduled for April 7 is canceled. The Town of Holland well water testing event will be rescheduled for a later date when it is safe for the community to gather. The rescheduled date will be announced when it is established. Trinity Lutheran Church: No worship services until further notice. This would include Saturday evening, Sunday morning, and Wednesday Lenten services. Additionally, there will be no meetings of any kind held in the church building. We will continue to offer a radio service broadcast on Sunday mornings at 8:30am. Please tune in to WKTY AM 580 for our regular Sunday worship over the air, from the comfort of your home. Please also note changes to Trinity’s Monday night outreach programs: Monday’s Meals: Take-out meals only. No one will be permitted access to any part of the building aside from the Narthex, where folks will enter the west-side door (no more than 4 at a time) and exit the main doors after picking up their sack meal to take home. Vang Council of La Crosse’s 3rd Annual Community Picnic/Social Gathering Event: The Vang Council of La Crosse regrets to inform the La Crosse area community and the general public that we have decided to cancel our third annual community picnic/social gathering event scheduled for June 21, 2020 for precautionary measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions. The health and safety of our staff, volunteers, sponsors, and the general public is our highest priority. Although we are disappointed in the cancellation, we do not want to put our community in any situation to be at risk after consulting the La Crosse County Health Dept. and other local health care professionals.
Vernon County Fair: Canceled

Village of Holmen: Due to COVID-19 prevention efforts, State mandates and staff shortages, the Village of Holmen’s facilities (Police Building and Administrative Building) will only be accessible for emergencies only or via appointment only. All action items for consideration in April will instead be considered at the next available meeting dates. The March 31st Planning Commission meeting items will be considered on April 28th. The April 1st Park, Recreation & Library Committee meeting items will be considered on May 6th. The April 2nd Public Works Committee meeting items will be considered on May 7th. The April 7th Law Enforcement Committee Meeting items will be considered on May 5th. The April 7th Finance & Personnel Committee Meeting items will be considered on May 12th. The April 9th Board Meeting items will be considered on May 14th.
Warrens Cranberry Festival: Canceled
Westby Syttende Mai: The Board of Directors felt it was in the best interest of our community to cancel the 2020 Syttende Mai celebration.
Winona Community Foundation: Rescheduling Open House and Ribbon Cutting Event: TBD, The Brisk Walk through the Basics Planned Giving Seminar is being postponed to a later date yet to be determined. Contact the Foundation with any questions.
Winona County Law Enforcement Center:w Temporarily closed to public access, but the public can call the law center for emergency service, which will not bee affected. People should call the center at 507-457-6368 instead of going there.
Winona Steamboat Days: The June 17-21 event is canceled. The committee is looking into organizing smaller events later this year. The 2021 event is scheduled for June 16-20.
