College students reminded to file for census using their college addresses, while away from home

Wisconsin leads the nation in response at 30%

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – As the U.S. Census is underway, college students that live off-campus should still be counted at their address by their college, even if they are temporarily returning home.

There are instructions on the U-S Census website so that everyone is counted.

More than 30 percent of Wisconsin households have responded to the U.S. Census already.

That makes Wisconsin the top state in the country.

The census will impact legislative representation as well as impact funding for community resources like schools, healthcare services and disaster relief services.

You can respond online by phone or by mail.
