‘Coffee with a Cop’ helps build connections in La Crosse

A national 'Coffee with a Cop' will be held in October

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Police in La Crosse are taking time to let community members share their concerns.

A ‘Coffee with a Cop’ event was Friday at Cowgill Dental in downtown La Crosse.

As part of the event, La Crosse’s newest Neighborhood Resource Officers were on hand to talk with community members.

The event is a chance to build relationships before there is a need.

“When we can get someone in here and we can introduce ourselves to them, they kind of put a face to the police department,” said La Crosse Police neighborhood resource officer Jared Reed.

A national Coffee with a Cop event is in October.
