Cloudy Tonight With Scattered Showers -Bill Graul
Much Cooler Tomorrow Through The Weekend
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 49F / Thursday’s Forecast High: 54F…
A potent low pressure system will track east across the region tonight, bringing clouds and scattered rain showers… perhaps a few rumbles of thunder. Lows tonight will mainly be in the 40s, but the La Crosse area will see lows in the upper 40s to near 50F.
A few showers could linger into Thursday morning, especially in eastern portions of the viewing area. Otherwise, partial clearing will be possible during the afternoon hours. It will be much cooler tomorrow, with highs only in the 50-54F range for most. This would be BELOW average for a change! Winds will be blustery from the N/NW around 10-20 mph at times.
Partly cloudy and colder Thursday night into Friday morning. Lows will drop into the low-mid 30s for many… with 20s possible in traditional colder areas. As a result, frost will be possible in many areas. Frosty conditions will also be possible Friday night into Saturday morning with lows again in the low-mid 30s… and 20s in colder areas. It might be time to say goodbye to the growing season… but we are well past our normal first frost dates in the area. During the day Friday, expect more clouds than sun with highs in the low 50s.
Looking Ahead… Still cool through the weekend, with highs mainly in the low-mid 50s. Saturday looks dry with partly cloudy skies, then breezy with a chance of rain showers later Sunday into Sunday night. Low temps will mainly be in the mid 30s Saturday night, then low 40s Sunday night.
Chance of showers on Monday, with highs remaining in the 50s. Partly sunny, breezy and warmer Tuesday with highs in the low-mid 60s. Another chance of rain next Wednesday with highs in the low-mid 60s. Showers could linger into part of Thursday as well, with highs in the low 60s.
Have a great night… and be prepared for the cooler weather moving in. -Bill Graul
