Cloudy & Hazy Skies Today; Storms Tomorrow? -Derek Sibley
Air Quality Alerts in effect this morning with the potential for strong to severe storms tomorrow
Current Weather Conditions
Clouds, smoke and haze is moving into our area this morning. High pressure at the surface is to our north, this system will move southeast and block out any moisture until tomorrow.
An Air Quality Alert is is effect for all of southeastern Minnesota and northeastern Iowa. Parts of western Wisconsin is also under this alert. This is all thanks to the smoky and hazy conditions from the wildfires over Canada, making the air unhealthy for sensitive people.
Temperatures this morning are in the 50s and 60s.
Overall expect mostly cloudy skies with highs in the low 80s. A bit hazy out there too.
Thunderstorms Possible Tomorrow
A cold front moving into the area tomorrow could help set off scattered thunderstorms across our area in the afternoon and evening.
Severe Weather Possible Tomorrow
A level 1 marginal risk of severe weather has been issued for most of our area tomorrow. This means that isolated severe thunderstorms are possible, with gusty winds and hail being the main concerns.
A mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 80s are in the forecast after Saturday. Slight chance of storms on Wednesday.
Have a great day!
