Climate change march raises awareness locally

Attendees plan to hold lawmakers accountable

Residents in our area banded together on Saturday to further the climate change movement.

The groups aim is to get people active about climate change and raise awareness locally.

People came from all over our area to make their voices heard, and it was all about sending a message to lawmakers.

“People are out around the world letting the decision makers and the leaders know that we are going to hold them to the agreements they’ve made in Paris,” said Stand Up for the Planet II Event Organizer Kathy Allen.

About 35 people showed up to help spread the word about climate change.
