City Plan Commission approves La Crosse Fire Department’s request to expand station on Losey Boulevard
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – On Monday night the La Crosse City Plan Commission gave the La Crosse Fire Department the go-ahead to expand Station 3 on Losey Boulevard, which is across from Central High School.
The Fire Department recently acquired a single-family home property next to the station.
It plans to demolish the home and add on to the station, with hopes to start construction in 2022.
According to the Fire Department’s application to the commission, it will be working with Habitat for Humanity through its ReClaim program to remove usable items for resale before tearing down the property.
The department’s request will be reviewed during the J&A meeting on Tuesday evening.
