City partners with local non-profit to clean up green space

A neighborhood farm is looking to help the city of Onalaska with its lawn care.

The non-profit, Clearwater Farm in Onalaska, is leasing the land on Green Coulee Road.

The land which is right next to the non-profit has become overgrown with weeds. The farm will clean up the field by letting its animals roam, and eat the grass and weeds.

The president of the non-profit says it’s a win for the both the city and the community.

“The farm is beautiful it’s gorgeous out here,” said President of Clear Water Farms, Shari Collas. ” To have another fenced area for people can enjoy farm animals, horse, I think is just great.”

The non-profit is hoping to raise about $3,000 to put up fencing around the area.
