City hosts free mask handout
All masks provided by the city are washable and reusable
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – As a part of an ongoing effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the city of La Crosse will be giving out face masks that meet the C-D-C recommendations… at no cost to the public.
The event was held today at Myrick Park.
The free mask event was set up as a drive-through to minimize direct contact.
One mask was provided per member of the household, with a limit of up to five masks per household.
All masks provided by the city are washable and reusable.
“We’re just trying to do our part to keep the community safe, and so we feel the more people that are wearing masks, the quicker we’ll get through this. And hopefully return the normal, sooner than later,” said Pat Corran, a community risk educator with the La Crosse Fire Department.
This was the second free mask handout organized by the city.
