Christi Reynard named news director for News 8 Now

Christi ReynardLA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Christi Reynard will take over July 12 as news director here at News 8 Now, accepting the reins from outgoing news director Anne Paape.

Morgan Murphy Media, News 8’s parent company, announced Friday that Reynard will take the top job.

“Christi is an experienced and passionate journalist ready to build on the successes at WKBT,” said Chris Palmer, WKBT vice president and general manager. “I have no doubt she will help us
strengthen our community connection across all news content platforms.”

Reynard, a graduate of Southern Illinois University, has a proven track record of success as a producer, executive producer, and assistant news director in eight markets. She comes to News 8 from WHNT in Huntsville, Ala., where she was an assistant news director.

“I’m excited to join the WKBT news team,” said Reynard. “I look forward to building on WKBT’s legacy of serving the people of the greater Coulee Region.”
