Chilly Today & Thursday, Then A Warm Up
Wednesday’s Forecast High: 16°F, Tonight’s Forecast Low: -6°F
It was a cold start to the day with clear skies and lows in the single digits on either side of zero. As expected, a few clouds have moved into parts of the area this afternoon thanks to a disturbance moving by to our south. A mix of clouds and sun this afternoon with highs in the teens.
Clear to partly cloudy tonight, and cold. Overnight lows will drop into the single digits below zero for most, but our northern and eastern communities could drop into the teens below zero. Wind chills will range from -10 to -20°F.
Mostly sunny skies for Thursday, but another cold day. Highs will be in the mid to upper teens.
Winds will increase and switch out of the south/southwest for Friday – this will begin our warm up. Partly cloudy Friday with highs in the low 30s – where we should be for this time of the year.
Warming even more for the weekend with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s.
Our quiet stretch of weather will end Monday as a system moves in bringing the chance of rain/snow.
Several systems will move through next week, so expect chances of rain/snow through at least Thursday. Stay tuned for updates!
Enjoy the rest of your day! -Michelle Poedel
