Charity Ride benefits local Children’s Miracle Network

More than $3,000 raised at annual ride

Local snowmobile riders took to the trails for a good cause Saturday.

Participants of the 3rd annual Charity Ride got to ride their snowmobiles through Onalaska Saturday afternoon, while raising money for a non-profit. Riders joined in the fun by making a minimum $25 pledge at either 2Brothers Powersports or Dee’s Auto Care.

The event coordinator says the ride came about as a way for the snowmobile club to give back to the community.

“We just wanted to give back, you know. There’s a lot of good organizations out there that need the funding and need help so we figured why not?” said Snowmobile Club Special Events Coordinator Dan Johnson.

The event included door prizes and silent auctions to help raise money.

The ride raised more than $3,000 which will go towards the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a service of the Gundersen Medical Foundation.
