Chance Of Scattered Showers & Storms Tonight -Bill Graul
Chance For A Few Strong To Isolated Severe Storms Through About Midnight
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 69F / Friday’s Forecast High: 85F…
A cool front will sag southeast across the region tonight, bringing the chance for scattered showers and storms. There were some strong to severe storms during the afternoon in northern sections of the viewing area that produced large hail and heavy downpours. There was also an unconfirmed report of a possible tornado in Rusk County, which would be the states first so far in 2021.
There’s a chance additional showers and storms could develop and sink south/southeast across the region through about midnight, with the rain chances decreasing after that. There’s also still a slim chance for a few strong to isolated severe storms… with hail, gusty winds and brief heavy rain. Remain extra weather aware, just in case. Otherwise it will be a muggy night with lows mainly in the 65-70F range.
More clouds than sun on Friday with just a slight chance for a few showers and isolated thunder, especially south. Highs will be seasonably warm in the low-mid 80s. The chance for scattered showers and storms increases Friday night into Saturday as today’s cold front stalls and lifts back to the north a bit. High temps on Saturday will be in the upper 70s. Slight chance of showers and storms on Sunday, with highs in the low 80s.
Looking Ahead… Slight chance of showers and storms Monday, then just isolated t-showers possible Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Next Friday is looking dry at this time, with partly cloudy skies. Temps will remain seasonable, with highs generally in the low-mid 80s and lows in the low 60s.
Have a good night! -Bill Graul
