Chance of Light Snow Showers Tonight & Thursday -Bill Graul
Unseasonably Cold Right Through the Weekend
WHAT WE’RE TRACKING:
Another clipper type system will bring a slight chance of light snow showers or flurries tonight. The snow showers will be more numerous on Thursday, but it looks like just minor if any snow accumulations expected in most areas. Even so, keep an eye on the roads tonight and Thursday and watch for slick spots… especially on the bridge decks and overpasses.
SNOWFALL REPORTS OVER LAST FEW DAYS:
PLANNING YOUR NEXT 24 HOURS:
In addition to the chance of light snow showers, be prepared for the unseasonably cold conditions to continue. Lows tonight will be in the 18-23F range, with highs Thursday only in the 25-31F range. Wind chills tonight will dip into the teens, perhaps even some single digits in colder wind prone areas. Keep in mind our average high this time of year is in the mid 40s.
Believe it or not, it gets even colder for Friday and Saturday with highs only in the upper teens to low 20s and lows in the single digits and low-mid teens. Blustery winds will make it feel even colder. It does look mainly dry both days, albeit mostly cloudy.
Not quite as cold with sunshine at times on Sunday with highs in the upper 20s, but still expect blustery winds. Back in the 30s for highs Monday and Tuesday with partly cloudy skies. Not as cold by the middle of next week with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. Forecast models are hinting at the chance for rain or snow showers on Thanksgiving, but it’s still a week away so for now… just stay tuned for updates.
