Chance Of Light Snow Or Flurries Today
Tuesday’s Forecast High: 24F / Tonight’s Forecast Low: 10F…
A clipper system will zip southeast across the region today, sliding by just to our southwest. As it does, expect a chance of light snow showers or flurries. Minor accumulations of a dusting to a 1/2″ will be possible in most areas, perhaps a few isolated spots up to 1″. Roads could become a bit slippery in any areas that see persistent snow showers. It will be a bit colder today, with steady temps in the teens (north) to low-mid 20s.
Any snow showers or flurries will taper this evening, then skies will become partly cloudy tonight. It will be colder with lows in the single digits to low teens. Winds will only be around 5-10 mph, but enough to produce wind chills in the single digits below zero for some.
Mix of sun and clouds Wednesday. It will be milder with highs in the mid 30s, but also breezy S to SW winds 10-20 mph and gusts to 30 mph. These winds will make it feel cooler. Still breezy Thursday with highs in the low-mid 30s, under partly sunny skies.
Looking Ahead… Partly cloudy and colder Friday, thanks to a cold front dropping south across the region Thursday night or Friday morning. Highs Friday will be in the upper teens, then lows Friday night will be on either side of zero.
A storm system could bring some snow to our area later in the day Saturday and into Saturday night. Chance of snow will continue on Sunday, with a chance of light snow showers lingering into part of Monday as well. Highs Saturday will be around 20F, then upper 20s on Sunday and Monday.
Mostly cloudy next Tuesday with highs in the mid 20s. A weaker system could bring some light snow around the middle of next week, with highs Wednesday in the upper 20s.
Have a good Tuesday! -Bill Graul
